One of Test PCs got infected by this Trojan variant. It keeps popping banners and also keeps telling you that you need to install Antivirus 2009 software to uninstall viruses it has found.
A quick read on google mentions that installing this software opens backdoors to more viruses and trojans. So i had to find ways to remove it. Trojan Vundo, comes through ActiveX in Websites or through Cracked Softwares. I was trying a cracked software , so i know this happened the moment i loaded the crack. ( One of the reasons to buy genuine software)
So the only way to remove this was to install a trial version of “Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware” and clean the menance out. Let the scan run for “Complete PC”, it would take around an hour or more depending on how much programs or files you have. you could also run a backup check through symantec removal tool.
This happened the other day… I went to withdraw money at the GulfBank ATM in Sharq… the screen was blacked out.. i thought it wasnt working, so was about to leave. Suddenly the familar screen appeared…so i had to take an immediate shot from my cell. Then the familiar Windows Start up Music and the default windows screen with the regular icons…
The thought of the ATM running on a Windows Platform, than A vendor specific OS over a embedded Device, makes its scary…
the possiblity of viruses, trojans etc running in the background would be dangerous…

We realised, many people have taken hosting from their own providers, friends etc. And the hosting competition is way too much for new comers. So we decided to Join the competition with our AV filters. As some of you may know , we developed our own Antispam Engine Server.
We decided to give our solution as Shared Hosted Filters to People who have hosting with other companies. So We have come up with “AVS Hosting Module”. It stands for Anti Virus /Spam Hosting. Basically We will reside our Filters between the internet and your email server. You have the choice of blocking the Spams before they come to you, or letting them redirect them to an External Source, or just tag them as ‘ SPAM’ and let them come to you.

Hmmmm……… Apart from this, the services was good.
There is this idiom “All work and no play makes JACK a dull boy“. But if i look at it with the recent amount of holidays for the month of December 2008 . Companies started and stopped work as if there was a power fluctuating bring down the system on and off.
I very well understand that many people work their ass out. but with kuwait already being a 5 day Work Week and such holidays …… im wondering how much of total work was actually happening … if i look at it .. i think we worked only …. around 12 to 15 days? this month?
With the long Eid Holidays, Christmas, the 2 new years as well the frdays/saturdays … i feel this isnt the month of work.. Some of the companies i went, no one was in the mood of working at all. So motivation wise… i feel this month was a waste.
With such events happening, company owners need to stress to finish all work by november to ensure they get payments in time and cover expenses for a month which is dull…..
So now if i look at it .. how many dull months kuwait has?????????
